Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Dong Van
Departure for Ha Giang town, tourist can be satisfied their passion of exploring the culture and local ethnic minorities. Visit Lo Lo people in a hamlet village in Pho Cao Community and see the villager make their own weaving linen. Quang Ba market is a next stop for a glimpse of the culture of Ethnic minorities’ activities. A beautiful village of Tay minority named Phuong Do is an original architecture of Tay people.
Drive up to Dong Van, the highest point in Viet Nam map. Where you will check in a local guest house or House on stilt Viet Lam for staying. (L, D)
Day 2: Dong Van – MeoVac – Ba Be
Dong Van is located in 1200m of sea elevator. It is also a capital of a group of H’Mong ethnic minorities. There is government of h’Mong with their King who cannot defeat by French colonist attached in early 1894. Today you will go to visit the Home of H’Mong’s King. Afterward you will take a walk to visit the Old town and it’s market in the center of Dong Van town. Come back your home stay (Guest House) you will take a drive to Meo Vac town, where is very famous by Love Market which oten open in March in lunar calendar. This driving proceed is very wonderful. You will have lots of opportunities for taking picture. Having lunch in the town Meo Vac, then explore the market. After lunch you will drive down mountain to Ba Be National Park. You have just make along Ha Giang – Dong Van – Meo Vac with China boarder, the reset of high land on the map of north Viet Nam. Arriving Ba Be in the late afternoon, check in National Park Guest House. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Ba Be
After breakfast we drive the short distance to the jetty where we board our private boat for a cruise on the lake. We visit the Puong cave and the Dau Dang waterfall. Following lunch we continue cruising along the lake, before docking at the village of Pac Ngoi. Home of the Tay minority people where we will spend the night. (B/L/D)
Day 4: Ba Be – Cao Bang
This morning we drive 90km drive to Cao Bang. En route, we are passing numerous villages of H’mong, Zao, Tay and Nung ethnic minority people, all living in harmony. We will arrive at Cao Bang slightly before lunchtime and spend a little exploring this little town, and visiting the local market. After lunch we will transfer to Ban Gioc Water Fall which is the biggest water fall in Viet Nam and located in the boarder of Viet nam – China. In this water fall you have 2 options for swimming or rent a rafting bamboo float around a bit and visit a cave in the top of the water fall where you can have some photos for souvenir. Afterward we have long drive back to Hotel in Cao Bang town. Today is a big transfer day so you will come to the hotel very late. (B/L/D)
Day 5: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc – Cao Bang
After breakfast, we will transfer to Ban Gioc Water Fall which is the Vietnam biggest water fall and the natural border between Vietnam and China. You will have 2 options: swimming or renting a bamboo raft float around or visit a cave on top of the water fall where you can have some chance for photo taking. Afterward, drive back and arrive in Cao Bang town late afternoon.
Optional activity: Nguom Ngao cave 3km long is one of the most beautiful caves in Viet Nam.
Day 6: Cao Bang Trek
Start the trekking tour with your local guide and porters who will arrange your meals and assistant you along the trek.
Drive to Ta Lung border of Viet Nam – China for lunch. You then begin this trek with a 15km walk to the La village and stay overnight in a local home stay. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Cao Bang Trek
Today, we trek from La village to Na Nieng village, another Tay community, you will have opportunity for a challenge to cross many streams.Then stay overnight in Na Mieng Village. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Cao Bang Trek
Trekking through several minority hamlets, you stop for lunch at the village of Dong Khe before venturing on to the Red Dao settlement of Pac Khoang. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Cao Bang Trek
This final full day of trekking takes you to the Tay village of Na Pang then walk a little bit further for your hotel in a small Townville That Khe. In the early morning you will have opportunity to visit a lovely market where many ethnic minorities dressing traditional customs doing their business. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Cao Bang – Hanoi
Bidding your hosts farewell, then take a drive down hill to Lang Son town. After lunch in the village you will meet up with our vehicle and go back to Hanoi. (B, L)
