Vientiane City Tour
Wat Sisaket – Wat Prakeo – That Luang Stupa – Patuxay Monument
Vientiane is one of the quietest capital cities in the world, far away from the bustle and hustle of other Asian capitals. The tour begins at the serene Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Phrakeo previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as one of the most recognizable landmarks in Vientiane. The Patuxay was fashioned after the Arc de Triomphe of Paris, although the ornamentation is unmistakably of Laos.
